1. Public browsing
You can read and search the public website without creating an account. The application code does not install advertising cookies, analytics tags or embedded social tracking widgets. Share cards are ordinary images fetched by the service handling a shared link.
Hosting infrastructure may have its own security or routing technologies. These must be checked against the final hosting configuration before publication.
2. Your appearance preference
The browser’s local storage key theme stores the Light, Dark or System appearance you select. It is used on this device to display your requested theme, is not sent to the article database and has no automatic expiry. It lasts until changed or cleared.
You can change appearance in the desktop header or labelled mobile menu. Use the control below to remove the saved preference and return to your device’s appearance setting.
3. Administrator authentication
Supabase authentication uses project-specific cookies such as sb-<project-ref>-auth-token, potentially split into numbered chunks, to maintain a signed-in administrator’s session. PKCE verifier and pending-flow cookies ending in -code-verifier, including flow-specific variants, may be set during password recovery.
These tokens are used for the authentication you request and for protected administration. They do not give a visitor access without an active administrator allowlist entry. Public journal reads use a separate anonymous client and do not use an administrator session.
The installed Supabase client sets a cookie maximum age of 400 days and may renew it when session data changes; browsers can impose shorter limits. Cookie lifetime does not guarantee a valid session: token expiry, revocation and the administrator allowlist are enforced separately. Sign out to clear this project’s browser session and recovery cookies. Recovery verifiers are also removed when their exchange is completed.
4. Managing storage
Your browser settings let you inspect or delete cookies and local storage. Blocking authentication storage can prevent administrator sign-in or recovery. Deleting appearance storage restores the system default.
The current implementation has no optional advertising or analytics tracking to switch on. If such technology is introduced, the operator must update this notice and provide any consent controls required for the target jurisdictions before activating it.
