What is IUUReady?

IUUReady is software for checking fish-import documents before you submit them. Create a record for one shipment, upload your supplier's files and review highlighted differences in selected references, fish descriptions or weights. Your team checks the originals and completes the official submission.

What does IUU mean?

IUU stands for illegal, unreported and unregulated fishing. These categories concern fishing that breaks rules, is not reported properly, or is inconsistent with the relevant conservation arrangements. Import documentation is part of the official process used to tackle that activity.

Why is this relevant to my import paperwork?

An invoice, packing list and catch documents describe different parts of a shipment. A reference may differ, a fish description may need clarification or the stated net weights may not agree. IUUReady brings selected comparisons into view so you know which detail to inspect and which question to ask.

Who is it for?

People preparing fish-import paperwork for Great Britain: importers who collect supplier documents, brokers who need a clear pack, and operations colleagues who review the details. Great Britain means England, Scotland and Wales; confirm separate requirements for other destinations.

Do I need to be an expert to start?

You can start with a shipment description and the original files your organization is authorised to handle. The first-shipment guide and glossary explain the steps and terms. The tool does not replace the importer, broker or authority's assessment of the requirements.

Does IUUReady submit anything through IPAFFS?

No. IPAFFS is the UK government's Import of Products, Animals, Food and Feed System. Your importer or agent completes the applicable notification there. IUUReady helps prepare and compare documents; it does not submit official notifications or customs and IUU declarations.

Does preflight complete mean the shipment is approved?

No. Preflight complete means no unresolved findings remain under the currently applied IUUReady checks. It is separate from official clearance or legal eligibility. Your team must inspect the originals and confirm current requirements before submitting.

Documents and checks

What to upload, what the tool reads and what you do with the result.

What is a consignment?

A consignment is the shipment being reviewed. In IUUReady, create one record for that shipment and keep its product, supplier, arrival details and documents together.

Which files can I add?

PDF, JPEG, PNG and WebP files up to 20 MB each. Start with complete, readable originals, such as the commercial invoice, packing list and the catch documents applicable to your shipment.

What is a catch certificate?

A catch certificate is a document used in the official process to establish the legality of a catch. Whether it is required depends on the goods and movement. IUUReady does not issue or officially validate certificates; use current guidance for your shipment.

What does preflight mean?

It means a check before submission. IUUReady reads selected details from the documents and compares them, giving you specific differences or missing values to investigate. The original source remains the document to inspect.

What does the tool check?

Confirmed shipment context and available document evidence inform the applicable checks. Findings can identify missing or conditional documents, certificate reference differences, species wording, net-weight differences and relevant catch details. Coverage depends on the shipment, evidence and applied rule version. Your reviewer checks the originals and resolves the findings.

What should I do when a difference is highlighted?

Open the originals, check the values and make sure the files describe the same shipment and product lines. If the difference is unexplained, ask the supplier to clarify or provide a corrected source. Review confirmed document details in the app and rerun the checks after changes.

What if the tool did not read a value?

Look in the original file. Document extraction is the software's reading of the source and can miss or misread text. If the source is readable, review the captured details. If it is incomplete or unclear, request a better original.

Are my documents public?

No customer document packs are displayed on this website. The application uses private storage and organization-scoped access. A report recipient needs workspace access to open the source documents.

What happens when I replace a document?

Replacements create a new version. Earlier originals and their evidence remain in the consignment history, so your team can follow the review and the information that changed.

How do I start a pilot?

Apply through the application with your company details, work email and current document workflow. Pilot work starts after approval and invitation. Standard pilot limits are 14 days, three consignments total and up to three seats; confirmed terms may vary.

What happens when the pilot ends?

Records, previous results and exports remain accessible. An active subscription is needed to start new work or resume processing and edits. If you use the consignment allowance before the deadline, existing reviews can be completed while pilot access remains active.

Which plans are available?

Essential is £99 per month for 50 monthly consignments and up to five seats. Growth is £199 for 250 consignments and up to ten seats. Broker starts at £499 for 500 consignments and up to fifteen seats. Prices are in GBP per organization workspace; confirm taxes and billing terms in the application.

Is annual billing available?

Annual billing is supported where the annual plan is configured. Check the applicable price in the application before subscribing. Consignment allowances remain monthly with either billing interval.

What is founding pricing?

Founding pricing is an individually approved programme on a normal public plan. It changes the agreed commercial terms, rather than creating a separate product or a public discounted plan.

Does record retention depend on my plan?

No. Records follow the service-wide data-retention policy across all plans and expired pilots. Higher tiers do not introduce a separate accessible-history allowance.

Who can use email document intake?

Growth and Broker include email intake when enabled. Essential and pilots use browser uploads. Report exports are available across workspaces, including after a pilot ends.

Does Broker include API access or a multi-client portal?

The public Broker plan supports a larger team in one organization workspace. API access, integrations, advanced automation and a separate multi-client portal are not included in the public plans.
